‚ÄčHello My Name Is...

Lisa Abbott, SLP

I am the Speech-Language Pathologist for first through sixth grade students at Ramona Elementary.  I also provide assessment and treatment services to preschool students in our district.

Being able to communicate, and understand what is being communicated to you is essential to school success.  For a child with communication difficulties, school can be frustrating.  I am here to help your child.

In speech, we will work hard, but we will have fun.  Your child should be able to tell you why they come to speech, what their goals are, and what activities they are doing.  If they can't tell you those things, then let me know.

Please check out the links to the left.  I will provide information on the calendar regarding monthly themes.

Please check out the parent articles link where I will provide links to articles related to speech and language development.  These articles will change every month or so I encourage you to check back often.

I will also post homework suggestions, by grade/age and by area (speech sounds, vocabulary, social skills, etc).

I hope to start and maintain a blog as well...
