School Profile

Facility

Ramona Elementary School has been educating students since 1896 making it the most historic school in the Ramona Unified School District. It is located in the rural community of Ramona, California approximately forty miles northeast of San Diego. The current facility was built in the early 1940s with major additions in the 1950s. Relocatable classrooms were later added to create a school of 37 classrooms, including the district's special education pre-school. In the center of campus are the media center, home to the library, computer lab, and offices for various support services. The cafeteria/multi-purpose facility, which sits at the far end of campus, was once the sole cafeteria for the only local high school as well as Ramona Elementary School.
